Pricing & Licensing Terms

The QuartzDesk licensing model is deployment-based and it is aimed to be simple, upfront and equitable. Our paid software licenses entitle you to perpetual use, and include 12 months of Software Maintenance (updates and support) commencing from the date of purchase. Renewal of Software Maintenance at expiration is entirely optional.

A single QuartzDesk software license (single license key) allows you to install and use one deployment of the QuartzDesk Web Application on a single deployment target. A deployment target is either a single application server, or a single application server cluster.

If you want to deploy the QuartzDesk Web Application on multiple deployment targets, for instance, in your development, test and production environments, you need to obtain multiple licenses (3 in this particular case).

If you want to deploy the QuartzDesk Web Application on a single deployment target more then once (e.g. using different web application contexts for individual deployments), you also need to obtain multiple licenses (one per deployment).

The deployment and use of the QuartzDesk JVM Agent and the QuartzDesk Public API library (required for Standard and Enterprise editions only) does not require any extra licenses.

We offer three editions of QuartzDesk:

Lite Edition

A free and feature-restricted license that comes with unlimited updates and limited support. This license is free and will always be free!

Standard Edition

A paid and moderately feature-restricted license that comes with unlimited updates and support during the active Software Maintenance period. This license is suitable for individuals and enterprises who seek a robust Quartz scheduler management and monitoring solution, but do not require some of the advanced features.

Enterprise Edition

A paid and feature-unrestricted license that comes with unlimited updates and support during the active Software Maintenance period. This license is suitable for individual and enterprises who seek a robust Quartz scheduler management and monitoring solution with all the bells and whistles.

Non-Free License Renewal

Once your QuartzDesk Software Maintenance expires, you can renew it to keep getting support and product upgrades. We will automatically notify you by email 60 days before your Software Maintenance expires. If you intend to renew, we recommend renewing at least 30 days before expiration.

Please note that once the Software Maintenance expires the product remains fully functional and its features are not restricted in any way. However, you will no longer be able to apply any software upgrades and you will receive no support. Upon renewing the Software Maintenance you will be issued an updated license key that you will need to install on your deployment targets in order to be able to apply future product upgrades.

If you renew Software Maintenance prior to the expiry of your current active Software Maintenance, the renewed Software Maintenance will commence on the date of renewal and end 12 months after the expiry of your current Software Maintenance. This way you are not loosing any days of support and software upgrades you purchased with your current license, and you do not have to wait with the installation of the renewed license for the expiration of your current license.

If you renew Software Maintenance after the expiry of your current active Software Maintenance, the renewed Software Maintenance will commence on the expiry date of your current Software Maintenance.

 

Bundling and Distribution

You may not bundle and/or distribute QuartzDesk, nor any of its components unless given explicit and written consent from QuartzDesk.com. The only exception is the public QuartzDesk API Library (quartzdesk-api-<version>.jar) which can be bundled and/or distributed without any restrictions.

 

OEM Licensing

Customer who wish to modify and/or distribute the QuartzDesk product under their own branding must obtain an OEM license.
